Rohmanelli is restless by nature. Workaholic, the Italian artist and professor (Federal University of Santa Catarina)  based in Brazil launches on this friday (18) the EP “Anomalous Transmix”, his fourth work of remixes in just eight months. There are six new versions of his debut album songs, “Anomalous,” (2016) highlighting the dub arrangement for “My Feet Are on Fire,” available from Monday (14) on the artist’s social networks.

The EP features six songs, two remixes by the Italian SaturDJ, one by the Argentine Jeronimo Gonzalez, who worked with Rohmanelli on “Anomalous”, one by DJ Môpa from the collective PragaTecno, one by Binho Manenti and another by Junior Antonini, the artist’s current producers. The idea of this project, according to the singer, is to further strengthen his Transpop.

– The “Anomalous Transmix Project”, which consists of five EPs of remixes, aims to show these possibilities that I look for with the Transpop, to be able to cross the genres without being incoherent. Every producer or DJ took one or two songs and did what he wanted with the originals, so we have completely different versions: Dub, funk, tecnobrega, bahia bass, classic piano, house, among other styles.

The other works of the series released by Rohmanelli were “Mantramovimento” (September), “Black Christmas” (December) and “Eu não quero namorar” (February). The artist’s next EP has a release date – June 29 – and marks the end of a two-year cycle of the “Anomalous” release. The material is finalized and only counts on songs in Italian, including two unpublished ones and a lyric video signed by Antonio Rossa.
