TRANSPOP

I coined this term because of the difficulty I had to define the type of music that I create and want to make. In fact, despite a typically pop structure with a main rhythmic part, a song format with brief verses and choruses that repeat melodically, the content of my songs, contrary to pop, are not there to please the audience or reach people superficially as commercial pop does today; What I want is the opposite: to upset and disturb with issues, motives and politically incorrect topics that instigate the questioning of the status quo. I try to associate the form of pop music to the contents normally used in rock, punk or rap, so I call it techno-punk. TRANSPOP is here to question everything: concepts, musical and social genres, and promotes the idea of the dissolution of all definite locations and fixed identities. It is TRANSPOP because it continually mutates and deconstructs, as the complexity of the reality that I represent. (Rohmanelli)

Don’t ask me what I like
Don’t try to understand it

Don’t put me in a frame
My nature is fluid

Slips from your hands
The more that you tighten
The less you will find me

Let me be anomalous
I don’t need to know who I am
Let me be anomalous
You don’t need to know who I am
Let me be outrageous
We don’t need to be all the same
Let us be anomalous
We don’t need to be all the same

Let me be what I am now
Let me be anomalous
Let us be anomalous

Let me be anomalous
We don’t need to be all the same
Let us be anomalous
We don’t need to be all the same

Let us be anomalous
We don’t need to be all the same
To stay in this world!
